We check WHOIS. If the name is about to expire and is backorder-compatible, you can purchase the service for $28.00. When it drops, we register it from our account.

One day before expiry we poll every second and catch the drop.
Frequently asked questions
When is a domain eligible?
Registered names that expire within 90 days, or that are already in redemption / pending delete. Available names should be registered normally. Restricted TLDs such as .gov and .edu.tr are rejected.
Is catching guaranteed?
No. Drop-catch is a race. We poll every second from our registrar account, but another registrar may win.
What does $28 include?
The watch and catch attempt only. The first-year registry/registrar registration fee of the domain itself is separate if the name is won.
